The Race To Summer is a season long golf event, that's built into your clubs exisiting format.
It's been designed to allow the "Every Golfer" the chance to compete for something bigger than the Wednesday / Saturday Stableford or Medal. It builds a buzz and atmosphere throughput the year and allows the "Every Golfer" the chance to compete for their club and win the biggest prize in Club Golf, the Champion Club Golfer of the Year.
On set days, agreed upon by the club and club match committee, you enter your scores as you would normally, and these are captured by the RTS team and entered into the RTS leaderboard located on the website. Of those who enter from your club, points are awarded from 1st place to 20th place and over the course of the season you accumulate these points. At the end of the season, the top 20 players will go through to the playoffs. All points are then removed and the top 20 players, play in a an 18 hole stableford event to make the top 10. With the top 10 players making the RTS club final, again an 18 hole stableford event to crown the RTS club Champion.

Entry is by individual, and payment of $150 is submitted via the Race to Summer website.
A minimum of 30 players is required per club to ensure the consistency and enjoyment of the competition.
The competition is built into your already set club competitions and as such all rules will remain as per your club guidelines.
At the final event, we have an R&A rules official who will lay out the rules formally and be on hand during the event to answer any questions.
Absolutely, the format and points allow for the "Every Golfer" the chance to compete and win. The format of your best 8 our of 10 rounds ensures for fairness in players personal calendar.
This is based on the number of players per club. As a guide, with 50 players at your club, you have the opportunity to win:
- Weekly $50 club vouchers for 1st place
- Club Champion 1st place prize of $750 in club voucher
- Club Champion 2nd place prize of $100 club voucher
- Club Champion 3rd place prize of $50 club voucher
